BeyondCure is an independent clothing brand focused on distinctive designs and a standard of quality meant to be felt. Every piece is made to order and crafted with care, while symbolically representing the idea of becoming beyond. Becoming beyond is something I have thought about for a long time. To me, it means growing past your weaknesses, learning to forgive others, letting go, and accepting that the world is not perfect. With that idea comes a purpose that is deeply personal to me: 10% of every order goes toward cancer research. This is not an arbitrary part of the brand. My grandpa, who I called Poppy, died from leukemia in September 2022. Cancer took his life, just as it has taken the lives of many others and will continue to affect families in the future. While life will eventually end for all of us, I believe there is still every reason to fight to give people more time, to help those who are suffering, and to support the families who are affected. That has become part of my mission. Poppy always loved business and majored in accounting before becoming a CPA, much like what I hope to pursue in my own future. In many ways, I have followed in his footsteps by creating this business—not only because of the joy that business brings me, but because it gives me the chance to put real effort into something I know he would be proud of me for: helping others.
